For those of you out there with stone hearts and the notion that other people can’t be trusted, this goes out to you. If you have lasted through the initial stages of chaos and destruction and have more than enough to survive, then you are probably much better off than most of those around you. If you can navigate the streets of your area safely because you have transportation that others do not, you are most likely enjoying privileges that others cannot. If this is the case at any given point, you can still not rest assured that the circumstances will always be in your favor. This is why, from a standpoint of reason rather than ethics, it would be beneficial to open your door to the drifter struggling to survive in harsh times. In order to help everyone be more prepared, the Zombie Preparedness Initiative is trying to help you find a zombie-safe location. Users can create groups and choose locations to make safe from zombies. These locations will be displayed on a map and soon, by setting a location for themselves in their profile, we should be able to show them the groups in their area. Groups can tell something about themselves and can help to spread the word about zombies to make sure everyone has a safe place to go when the zombies show up. Feel free to browse the current groups, check out the map to see where the groups are located, or create your own group and make your community prepared to face the zombies. The Zombie Preparedness Initiative is always striving to give the public more ways to communicate and come together. Here you will find fiction created and submitted by other Zombie Preparedness Initiative users. The stories, as you can imagine, deal mostly with surviving a zombie outbreak, though some are a little more bleak than that.
